The whispering of the stars is ideally suited as a motto for
this matinee of ethereal, floating tones. In this perfectly
balanced performance, Haydn, Lanner, Grieg and Satie met on a
mutual level of commensurate virtuosity marked by
well-graduated dynamics and tone colours. Original
compositions by Schönfeldinger, who weaves selected text
fragments spoken by Oskar Werner into his sound planes, were
an enjoyable surprise...
